PULP ART

I'm as obsessed as everyone else with these Pulp Art images by Neil Krug, and the polaroids on his flickr. I should say still obsessed, as I've been deciding which one I want since January.

WHOLE COLLECTION

All these painfully cool people we're getting to see beautifully photographed these days on the interweb, it's enough to make me never want to leave my basement flat in my rubbish clothes. I never thought I'd say this, but I really really want my tiniest possessions fetishized and photographed and held up as the last word in cool.

The good thing is you could build a whole collection on these amazing shots. It doesn't replace getting outside, reading books and doing research but there are so many incredible images everywhere you look.

HERE COMES THE SUN

It's been getting pretty wintery around her recently as I try and wrench my mind towards future seasons. However, I've been thinking more about light and texture than ever before as we plan photoshoots, and hazy spectrums of sun plus vintage broderie plus white denim never gets old.

BLUE AND CAMEL

I'm not immune to all the Celine furor. I love classic things and I loved Pheobe Philo's stuff at Chloe and I think I love the things from Celine more. And I love these bright blue denims with blush, caramel and tan. Neil Young again I'm sure.

LATE FOR THE SKY

From Oyster Magazine, October 08. I've been pondering something I read a while ago that Jonny Johansson from Acne said about Neil Young being the inspiration for his SS2010 collection. Surely Neil Young is one of the inspirations for any denim collection, Jonny? It's really nice when you're taste is reinforced by someone who does great things, but I kind of want my things to be mine, and not co-opted for Spring Summer 10. I'm not a sharer.
